Founded in 2015 as a subsidiary of the renowned veneer expert Schorn & Groh, muto' offers first-class consulting for architects and designers on the use of wood and individually produced wood surfaces for the contract sector.
Wood has been my passion for 30 years. The versatility and infinite design variations are fascinating, an experience.
I have made it my mission to share my knowledge with architects and planners. Our approach is innovative, new and unique. In this way we help you to make the best of this noble material. Dive into a whole new world of designs with wood!
MILESTONES OF MUTO'
2013-2014
The idea is born! After conducting our own survey of numerous architects, the need for a wood specialist in the contract sector becomes apparent.
A partner network is crucial for the implementation of the idea. Building the partner network takes its course.
2015-2016
muto' GmbH is founded as a subsidiary of the largest veneer manufacturer in Germany, Schorn & Groh GmbH. Rolf Loose-Leonhardt becomes managing director.
From 2016, semi-finished products made from high-quality wood veneers for the interior design and architecture sector will be offered under the architectural brand muto'.
2017
First project completions and successes on the horizon! The first major projects supported by muto' consulting and production are completed, including the central library in Chemnitz.
2018
First trade fair participations at Orgatec in Cologne and Architect@Work in Stuttgart.
2019 - 2021
Collection expansion: the MUTO GRID and NUO product collections are expanded, a new acoustic element including a flexible frame is in the development phase and new products are introduced (MUTO FLEX, MUTO DUOFLEX).
2022
We focus on improving our internal processes. As part of this, our digital tool Veneer Designer is being completely overhauled and will soon provide access to all 140 types of veneer. We will continue to work on a specific log selection for a particular wood species in 2023.
2023-2024
muto' is growing! And with it the demands on our digital presence. We are revamping our website, investing in the expansion of our veneer designer, launching the online store and getting started with social media!
