NUO
NUO is soft like leather and smooth like fabric – made from real wood, vegan and sustainable. The patented "soft wood" is already being made into shoes, handbags and accessories. It is timeless and can be used in a variety of applications: in the furniture sector, in the interior of automobiles, and it is particularly suitable for high-quality interior design.
A textile made from real wood
Sustainable & resource-conserving
NUO consists of high-quality veneer sourced exclusively from sustainable forestry. The thin real wood with a thickness of approx. 0.5 mm is bonded to a carrier textile and then lasered.
Acoustically effective veneer
The perforations in the NUO material created by the laser process and an absorber attached to the back make NUO acoustically effective, particularly in the 400 Hz to 1250 Hz frequency range. Please fill out the contact form to receive more information on acoustic solutions with NUO.

NATURAL ASH
Ash is one of our most valuable deciduous trees and can be found in alluvial forests and along streams and rivers. The ring- and coarse-pored wood has a typical and expressive character. Due to clearly separated growth rings, its texture is strikingly veined on the tangential surfaces and striped on the radial surfaces. The sapwood and heartwood is whitish to white-yellowish or white-reddish in color.

NATURAL OAK
The oak was considered a sacred tree by many civilized peoples and was particularly valued for its size, hardness and durability. Oak has a medium coarse texture and often an irregular or cross-grained grain. In addition, beautiful veins or stripes can be seen on the longitudinal surfaces, which give the light yellow to medium and dark brown colored wood a decorative touch. The large and wide wood rays emphasize this decorative character as lively mirrors or spindles.

NUO
NATURAL BEECH
If Germany has a true world heritage site, then it is its extensive beech forests. This popular furniture wood has a simple, almost purist texture and is almost white in its unsteamed form. Steamed beech veneer, which we use for NUO, has a delicate rosé hue and darkens slightly due to the laser. Narrow and darker late wood clearly marks the growth zones and creates a slight, visually stimulating veining on the tangential surfaces.

NATURAL WALNUT
Walnut, which belongs to the noble hardwoods, is known for its historical use for high-quality furniture and objects in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. This beautiful fine wood has a rich grey-brown to chocolate-brown, even reddish-brown color with a strong sapwood area that is usually evened out by steaming. The color-contrasting growth rings result in a striking floral or striped texture. Numerous variations of the veneer appearance are created by differently pronounced almost black color stripes.

This is a technical real wood veneer. This wood species owes its striped veneer appearance to its manufacturing process. The logs are peeled and the resulting veneers are glued into a block after a dyeing process. This block is then sliced and the finished fineline veneers are created.

Soft wood for better room acoustics
NUO_WALL is an acoustically effective element for interiors.
It consists of the tried-and-tested, matt lacquered NUO material.
The material is inserted into an aluminum frame system with a groove using a flat welt and fitted with an acoustic absorber on the back.
NUO_WALL thus improves the room acoustics of offices, restaurants or entrance areas.
